This year, the Brigade Lyrique is revamped and is divided into Brigade Opéra and Brigade Opérette. The two brigades now offer all festival-goers the chance to experience the full range of complete art that opera is by presenting two works in one act with staging and costumes: Le Téléphone by Gian Carlo Menotti and Pomme d’Api by Jacques Offenbach.

The Brigade-like tank will once again take up residence in several parks in Quebec City, thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the Bureau des grands événements, de Première Ovation et de la Commission de la capitale nationale de Québec.

The popular Circuit Opera is back with new stations to discover and a new repertoire.

CIRCUIT
OPERA

Once again this year, the Festival d’opéra de Québec is offering a pedestrian circuit in the heart of the city center. The circuit will lead you to discover the opera and its importance in the history of the city through seven opera stations. The venues chosen have long been (and some are still are) important stages for the presentation of opera performances. Singers will perform short performances of famous tunes that were once heard at this venue and present the main historical facts associated with them.
The circuit can be done in whole or in part, in order or disorder, according to your curiosity, availability and abilities. It should be noted that to see all stations in the same route, you must start at Station 1.

Every day from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
