Important Notice

As part of the TramCité (Quebec City tramway) construction project, we would like to remind you that changes to RTC bus routes, particularly in the Grand Théâtre area, are now in effect. These changes are designed to avoid construction zones and continue to serve the areas affected by the work. This will not affect any scheduled activities.

Please note that throughout the TramCité project, the Grand Théâtre de Québec will remain accessible at all times.

Stay informed

Visit the Info-Travaux page on the Grand Théâtre website to learn about changes in the area and to plan your visit accordingly.

You can also visit the RTC website to stay informed and plan your trips in advance: https://www.rtcquebec.ca/en/network.

Transport

People’s transportation has the biggest impact on an event’s carbon footprint. Whenever possible, the Festival d’opéra de Québec encourages you to use active transportation or public transit to attend your show.

All venues and Brigades sites are easily accessible by public transit. To plan your trip, visit the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) website, where you’ll find all the information you need on bus, Flexibus and àVélo services.

If you use an electric vehicle, you can find a charging station near your event venue by clicking here.

Assistive listening devices are available on request at Louis Fréchette Hall, Théâtre Périscope and Théâtre La Bordée.

All show durations will be available and posted on their respective website pages at least 7 days before the first performance.

All theatres are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Contact the ticket office to book your ticket and prepare your arrival. For further information, please consult the websites of the different venues or the Kéroul Directory.

Late arrivals

Once the show has started, latecomers will only be admitted at the appropriate time or will be refused access to the auditorium. If authorized to enter the auditorium, ushers reserve the right to assign other seats to latecomers so as not to interfere with the smooth running of the show or the comfort of other spectators. The same rule applies to anyone leaving the hall during the performance.

The Festival recommends that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the show.

Heat and hydration

For outdoor activities, the Festival recommends that you carry a reusable water bottle with you to limit plastic waste and ensure that you have water within reach at all times.

For park shows, folding chairs and umbrellas are permitted. Please note that some venues may be located in sunny areas.

Rain

If an activity has to be cancelled due to heavy rain, information will be posted on the Festival’s Facebook page.
