Transport

People’s transportation has the biggest impact on an event’s carbon footprint. Whenever possible, the Festival d’opéra de Québec encourages you to use active transportation or public transit to attend your show.

All venues and Brigades sites are easily accessible by public transit. To plan your trip, visit the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) website, where you’ll find all the information you need on bus, Flexibus and àVélo services.

If you use an electric vehicle, you can find a charging station near your event venue by clicking here.

Late arrivals

Once the show has started, latecomers will only be admitted at the appropriate time or will be refused access to the auditorium. If authorized to enter the auditorium, ushers reserve the right to assign other seats to latecomers so as not to interfere with the smooth running of the show or the comfort of other spectators. The same rule applies to anyone leaving the hall during the performance.

The Festival recommends that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the show.

Heat and hydration

For outdoor activities, the Festival recommends that you carry a reusable water bottle with you to limit plastic waste and ensure that you have water within reach at all times.

For park shows, folding chairs and umbrellas are permitted. Please note that some venues may be located in sunny areas.

Rain

If an activity has to be cancelled due to heavy rain, information will be posted on the Festival’s Facebook page.
