Text and music: Patrick Mathieu (after Alphonse Daudet’s short story)
A freedom-loving, tenacious and reckless little goat bears witness to her bravery as she battles the terrible wolf. In a show that is part theater, part opera, two actors and a pianist playfully twist around this timeless piece, before plunging into the mix of drama and courage so typical of Daudet’s text.
A great work of art that will make you laugh, cry and even scare you a little… but not too much! After forays into Brazil and Mexico, La chèvre de monsieur Seguin, a classic for a whole generation of children, comes to the Festival d’opéra de Québec in an even more moving version.
